Founded in 2008, Lane Change Consulting grew out of a passion to help teams move from ideas to action using the power of visual thinking and meaningful, focused conversation. We combine powerful visual thinking tools and methods, expert facilitation and a deep understanding of the psychology and energy of change to help you envision and create your desired future. When we work together, you’ll find our work is:
- Visual – Large visuals let people see what they are saying, keep people engaged, and challenges linear thinking
- Participative – Participation increases the quality of decisions and the level of engagement
- Creative – No two clients are alike and neither are the solutions we bring
- Practical – We love theory but never get lost in it. Results are what matters
Our team of talented graphic recorders and visual facilitators blend deep listening skills with solid artistic chops to help you design and deliver meetings that make a difference.
An expert facilitator, trainer, visual strategist and graphic recorder, Nevada is the founder and principal consultant at Lane Change. Nevada’s secret sauce is her ability to weave together facilitation, coaching and visual thinking to help teams learn, grow and succeed in times of rapid change.
Nevada holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley and the LMU in Munich, Germany, and a M.S. from the University of San Francisco in Organization Development. A trained co-active coach and ORSC team coach, she is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the EQi 2.0 Emotional Intelligence coaching tool, and the Drexler-Sibbet Team Performance Indicator.

Alece is an experienced fine artist, illustrator, and graphic recorder.
Alece has created live maps of keynotes, concurrent sessions and panel discussions, board retreats, and vision and planning meetings. In addition to being an expert graphic recorder, she is a highly skilled digital illustrator and creates beautiful infographics and animated videos that bring clarity to a wide range of concepts.
Giselle is a facilitator and visual strategist whose sweet spot is at the intersection of process design, facilitative best practices, and the creation and utilization of visual tools. Her favorite meetings are those in which people with disparate points of view come together to work toward shared goals. She enjoys the variety of engagements and the deep learning that come from working as a graphic facilitator, graphic recorder, illustrator, and trainer for corporate, non-profit, and community groups. She holds a B.A. in Art History, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership, both from Mills College, Oakland, CA. Check out some of Giselle’s work
Sophia is most passionate about people and enabling sustainable communications within teams and inside organizations, utilizing the power of visual communication. Her background in designing experiential learning events has taught her that in order for people to truly listen and understand one another, they must be engaged on multiple sensory levels. As a graphic recorder and facilitator, she does just that — visualizing great ideas into bite-size chunks for engaged collaboration.
Emily is a skilled visual thinker who’s able to listen for the essential points of a discussion or presentation, and synthesize them into an engaging and organized visual. Her ability to quickly sketch ideas enables her to work with our clients who are looking for storyboards, illustrations, murals and animated videos. She’s got an infectious smile and, after years in the SF Bay Area, she can still turn on her Boston accent if you wanna “heah” it!
