“In our ever-expanding field, Nevada’s work stands out. She’s that uncanny individual who has deeply cultivated skills across a wide range of areas. Her graphic recordings are illustrative and narrative. Her graphic facilitation skills are practiced and honed. She strikes that perfect balance of professional and fun. I always enjoy working with Nevada.”
We use a variety of models and tools, including the Drexler/Sibbet Team Performance Model, the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator, and the EQi 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Inventory, to help teams understand their strengths and areas for growth.
Using our practical and visual approach, we help teams create clarity around the work they want to accomplish while enhancing the team’s ability to reflect, communicate and collaborate in times of constant change. Our work frequently begins with a team assessment and is followed by a series of team meetings designed to support and challenge the team to achieve their ideal state. Large-scale visuals are used to create clarity, engagement and pull-through between meetings.
Some of the specific areas we have been asked to address include:
- Team start up & chartering
- Team roles & responsibilities
- Enhancing communication & feedback
- Working with other teams
- Increasing knowledge sharing within large teams
- Communicating with stakeholders
“Nevada has a command of the room, keenly aware of interpersonal and inter-group dynamics. I have seen her both artfully navigate around issues that were not yet ready to be surfaced, and move decisively to get issues out that required honest engagement. Her ability to translate discussions into impactful visuals always gets the lasting “Wow!” response. I recommend her with highest regard and continue to rely on her for effective facilitation.”
What is it? Graphic recording is large-scale visual note-taking done in real time at your event or meeting. Our graphic recorders are expert listeners who translate the thoughts, ideas and content from your speakers or participants into inspiring large illustrations or “charts” using text and icons. The result is an engaging, powerful visual record of your event that can be shared with stakeholders and customers during after after the meeting to keep the conversation going and move from planning to action.
Benefits of graphic recording:
- Engages meeting participants in a multi-sensory way during the meeting
- Increases comprehension and retention by attendees
- Helps teams track the progress of the meeting
- Helps participants see emerging themes and the bigger picture
- Creates a visual record of the meeting that can easily be shared with stakeholders
“Nevada Lane’s graphical recording added a visual element to our event that both engaged participants and provided us with collateral to continue conversations afterwards. She captured the conversations in a compelling and easy-to-digest manner that will benefit our thinking in the long run.”
“Nevada truly brings an extra touch of magic to our events through her work. Time and time again, I’ve had clients remark how incredible her illustrations are — both in creative design and ability to capture and convey complex content. Her recordings are often the first request we get for a follow-up from clients after events — she does an excellent job summarizing and solidifying concepts in a memorable, artful way. I can’t recommend Nevada highly enough!”

“Nevada’s animations are a critical element in our efforts to change the culture of our organization. Her unique ability to take complex principles and concepts, and turn them into visual, animated and engaging vignettes that resonated not just with the minds of our staff, but also their hearts, helped us permanently change how we think and relate to our challenges. Our teams still refer to Nevada’s images when using our new way of thinking and problem solving, and her work has defined our culture in a way that merely verbal communication never could.”
“Nevada Lane and team created a custom animated video to describe our new approach to performance and development. The three-minute video offers the perfect balance of whimsy and practical process information to both delight and inform viewers. Nevada was an absolute pleasure to work with: the Lane Change team is not only exceptionally creative, but also flexible, responsive, and dedicated to creating an end product that exceeds expectations and reflects the culture or audience for whom it’s designed.”
